Flu Vaccinations - UConn Clinic on Oct. 9
The Office of the State Comptroller, Healthcare Policy & Benefit Services Division has chosen vendors to administer statewide flu vaccination clinics for those with State of CT health insurance.
Western Connecticut Home Care will hold a Flu Vaccination Clinic at UConn Storrs on Thursday, October 9th as part of the Work/Life Expo. The clinic will run from 9am-2pm in the Student Union, Room 304B for employees and their dependents with State of CT health insurance. You must provide your State of CT health insurance card and complete a consent form to receive your flu vaccination at no cost. All vaccinations provided by the contracted vendor will be considered in network regardless of the medical plan the employee is enrolled in.
Those enrolled in State of CT health insurance have three ways to receive flu vaccinations:
- The above mentioned on-site clinic
- CVS or other local pharmacies in the flu vaccine clinic network. Please note that CT pharmacists are unable to vaccinate anyone under age 18. Dependents under 18 can use the Minute Clinic at CVS.
- From their doctor or other health professional
