  • 9/16 UConn in Cape Town Symposium

Drawing on the university’s core value of Human Rights, the Cape Town Study Abroad Program provides one of the best ways to learn about yourself, expand your world view, and work for social justice while gaining skills essential to be a well-informed global citizen. It will immerse you into the living history of South Africa by directly involving you in institutions that are wrestling with South Africa’s troubled past and creating a modern, democratic civil society. At the heart of the program is a three-day per week internship. Internships are specifically selected to meet the individual interests and goals of each student.

Attend this symposium to hear from past participants and learn about the application process. Attending this event counts toward Sophomore Honors.
