Spotlight Story Hour at The Benton

The book in the Spotlight is The Egyptian Cinderella, about Rhodopis, a poor slave girl from Greece with no mother, no father, no friends. Nothing! Only the beautiful rose-red slippers her master gave her make her smile, but a falcon swoops down and snatches one of the slippers, leaving Rhodopis heartbroken. How is she to know that the slipper will land in the lap of the great Pharaoh? And who would ever guess that the Pharoah is determined to find the slipper's owner and make her Queen of all Egypt?

An art activity will follow story time.
