    Assessment and Statistics Graduate Assistant

    Fall 2014-Spring 2016

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide oversight to all assessment initiatives in the department including development, execution and analysis
    • Develop protocol and methodology to collecting departmental metrics in a consistent and accurate manner
    • Evaluate and analyze data to produce reports that provide insight into attainment of Best Practices and programmatic and departmental success
    • Serve as departmental liaison with office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to provide effort in data collection for First Destination Surveys
    • Create reports and dashboard analysis for special projects, as needed

     

    Qualifications

    • Pursuing master’s degree or PhD at the University of Connecticut, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field  
    • Preference given to students who will be studying for the next two years 
    • Attention to detail
    • Data management skills
    • Organizational skills
    • Written and oral communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel

     

    Position Information:

    • Two-year appointment:  Fall 2014-Spring 2016
    • 20 hours per week
