  • Centralization of Employee Personnel Files

    In collaboration with the Office of Audit, Compliance & Ethics (OACE), and as part of the University’s Records Management Initiative, the Department of Human Resources (HR) will be launching a University-wide effort to consolidate and centralize Official Personnel Records. This effort will enhance compliance with the State’s Record Retention Policy as well as create consistency and efficiency of Personnel File maintenance across the University. 

    Starting on or about July 1, 2014 HR will begin contacting Records Liaisons (those currently responsible for Official Personnel Records maintained in the department) to identify which active Personnel Files to prepare for the centralization process.  HR will coordinate the schedule and transportation of those records to the Brown Building on Depot Campus.  Our goal is to have these files received in HR by November 30, 2014.

    Detailed procedures will be provided to Records Liaisons in the coming weeks.
