  • 6/20 Friday is Desktop Diversion Day @ The Benton

THE DESKTOP DIVERSION of THE WEEK is "Exquisite Corpse Drawing."
    Friday, June 20 from 12:15 to 1

Just what is Exquisite Corpse Drawing?
Someone starts a drawing, folds the page, passes it to his/her neighbor who continues the drawing without looking at what is there, refolds it, passes it again, and so on — one piece of a drawing after another, without anyone knowing what came before or what will come after. Many Surrealist artists of the early 20th century, such as Joan Miró and Yves Tanguy, called it by the literary name cadavre exquis, or exquisite corpse

It's fun! It's free! It's a reason to get away from your desk for a little while.

We provide the supplies. Space is limited, so come early, rain or shine, and leave time to see the Ronnie Wood and Hartford Stage costume exhibitions. On your way here or back to your office, be sure to enjoy the Sundial Garden in front. The roses are in bloom and they are spectacular!
