  • Donate Your Old Vases or Pots to UConn Blooms

Do you have flower vases accumulating in your closets, ceramic, clay or decorative pots hanging out in your office, garage, or basement?  If they are in good condition, think about donating them to UConn Blooms during the month of June.  Not only will it help UConn Blooms, but if will reduce the clutter around you!  You might even have second thoughts and fill that pot with one of our tropical plants to decorate your surroundings!!  We'll even pot it for you!!!  Or fill that old vase with beautiful fresh flowers!!!!

UConn Blooms is UConn's only on campus plant and flower shop, housed in the Floriculture Building, part of the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture.  With a staff of up and coming industry professionals, the students are able to acquire skills to advance their career under the direction of Jim Palmieri, the floral arts instructor.  The profits of UConn Blooms are utilized to strenghten the Plant Science program and help fill a nationwide industry need.

We are located in the Floriculture Building at 1395 Storrs Road (Route 195) across from the yellow barn.  UConn Blooms is open 10:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday and parking is available alongside our greenhouses in the driveway.  Check out our website,  UConnBlooms.uconn.edu.
