  • 5/24 Family Story Hour and Dress-up at The Benton


    THE BENTON IS HOSTING A FUN FAMILY EVENT THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON, MAY 24 @ 3 PM

    STORYTELLING & PERFORMANCE FOR KIDS
    inspired by the Benton's new exhibition Stagecraft: 50 Years of Design at Hartford Stage.

    This ongoing summer series combines storyhour with dress-up time and fun activities. This Saturday's event will begin with a reading of  Stella: Queen of the Snow by Marie-Louise Gay. Kids will be encouraged to dress up like their favorite character and act out scenes from the book. Other activities may include finger puppets, a costume treasure hunt, and DIY bookmarks.

    The next Spotlight Story Hour will be Saturday, May 31. Princess Furball by Charlotte Huck and Anita Lobel is the featured book.

    The Story Hours are FREE. 

    SPECIAL NOTE: 
    The Benton will be open this Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25, 1-4:30 pm. 
    Bring the family and your weekend guests!

    Closed Monday for Memorial Day.
