  • 5/23 "Stagecraft" Exhibition Opens at the Benton

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY TO SEE STAGECRAFT: 50 Years of Design at Hartford Stage.
This extraordinary exhibition of theater, costume, & set design recognizes the Hartford Stage Company's 50th anniversary season — and you won't want to miss it!

The Benton — the final stop on Stagecraft’s statewide tour — has the distinction of presenting an expanded exhibition of costumes surrounded by scenic elements plus these extras:
    • a behind-the-scenes video of major players from the Stage’s most loved productions,
    • audio commentaries by actors and designers,
    • large props (including the armillary from Twelfth Night), and
    • the idea boards from the prop shop.

Stagecraft was curated by Jessica Palmer, with the Benton curatorial staff. The exhibition runs from May 23 through August 10.

ALSO ON EXHIBITION through August 10:
    Ronnie Wood: Art & Music

    Museum hours: Tuesday–Friday 10–4:30 / Saturday & Sunday 1–4:30
