     On Reaching a Steady State

    ABSTRACT

In many contexts one observes a stochastic process with the goal of learning steady-state features.  We address the question of how to declare with confidence that steady-state has been reached.  The focus of the talk is proposing relevant operating characteristics of stopping times and in discussing feasibility of defining appropriate rules.
