The UConn Board of Trustees has approved an agreement between the University and the Graduate Employee Union-United Auto Workers (GEU-UAW) related to the ongoing efforts of graduate assistants (GA's) to organize a union.
UConn and GEU-UAW agree that the decision whether to be represented for purposes of collective bargaining should be made by the GA's. The University has been, and will continue to be, neutral with regard to this effort. Individual graduate students are free to make their own decisions. The University and its senior administrators will not seek to influence the decision of any GA.
