  • 4/11 Relay for Life is Looking for Survivors!

The University of Connecticut Colleges Against Cancer Chapter is welcoming cancer survivors to honor at our annual Relay For Life event. For those of you have not heard about Relay, it is an overnight event organized by student volunteers to benefit the American Cancer Society. During this event, which will take place April 11th at 4pm on the softball field, teams raise money, spread awareness, and honor survivors. All of the proceeds go directly to the Society and help fund various programs focused on helping cancer patients and their families. As defined by the Society, a survivor is anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer, regardless of if they are still in treatment or in remission. During the event, there is a survivor ceremony which includes a survivor lap ,reception, and an activity for the participants.

Please help spread the word or sign up for the event yourself! It is a great way to bring hope and awareness to a great cause and have tons of fun while doing so! You can sign up or donate on our website www.relayforlife.org/uconn. If you have any questions about the event or how to sign up please feel free to email relayforlifeuconn@gmail.com.Thank you!
