Information for Deans, Directors, and Department Heads

  • 3/26 Academic Vision Public Forum

Sent on behalf of Dr. Richard Schwab, Neag Endowed Professor and Chair, University Academic Vision Committee.

    Dear Colleagues,

As you are aware, dedicated faculty from all of the schools and colleges have spent the last year developing a new Academic Vision plan, which will guide the University for the next several years. They met with Deans, established Strategic Area Advisory Teams, and received input and reports from College/School Academic Vision Committees. After many hours of debate and crafting, a draft plan was developed; it is now available for review on the Provost’s website: http://provost.uconn.edu/academic-vision/.

Today, I write to invite you to attend a public forum on Wednesday, March 26, from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Dodd Konover Auditorium on the Storrs campus. Information about streaming will be available on the Provost’s website closer to the date of the forum.

I encourage you to attend the public forum and ask questions, provide comments, and recognize the service of the faculty who served on the SAATs and the College/School Academic Vision Committees. I especially extend my gratitude to members of the UAVC who have worked diligently on this task and whose names are listed below.

    Sincerely,
    Rich Schwab
