Statistical inference for paired circular data in direct

    and inverse regression settings

    ABSTRACT

In this talk, we study a functional relationship between two circular variables.  We confine our attention to data sets having a causal and effect type of relationship, where dependent and independent variables can be identified.  Both direct and inverse predictions of circular variable(s) of interest are investigated.  Both parametric and distance-based methods are presented.  A brief introduction to Circular Statistics will be given in the beginning.
