    UCONN/JACKSON LAB AGING SYMPOSIUM, MARCH 19-20, 2014

This conference will be held on March 19-20, 2014 at the University of Connecticut campus in Storrs, CT.

    Plenary speakers include:

    1. Luigi Ferrucci, MD, PhD, the Scientific Director of the National Institute on Aging at NIH
    2. David Melzer MBBCh, PhD, FFPH, Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Exeter

As for the UConn/JAX Genomics Symposium which was held in 2012, the goals of this meeting will be to identify areas of common interest and multidisciplinary collaboration in the field of aging involving faculty from across the University of Connecticut and Jackson Laboratory.

There will be ample opportunity for participation and discussion, with brief presentations by UConn and Jackson Lab faculty in the morning and breakout sessions in the afternoon.

A multidisciplinary program committee with representatives from all UConn Schools and Colleges, as well as Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor and Farmington is actively working on preparations for a 2 day symposium devoted to aging. Please feel free to contact members of the Program Committee with ideas, suggestions and questions.
