UConn Migration Studies Seminar in Oaxaca, Mexico program - Summer 2014
Earn 4 credits in 15 days! No previous Spanish or travel experience necessary!
Open to both undergraduates and graduate students!
This is a unique UConn 4 credit program, a dynamic introduction to the
history, language, sounds, sites, tastes and rhythms of our southern neighbor
with a focus on migration to the United States. The very safe and welcoming
city of Oaxaca and neighboring towns will be our classrooms as we explore
together this beautiful and complex part of the world. Of course, there will be
plenty of time to soak up the Mexican sun in the city of the "eternal spring".
The small size of the group (10-15 students) allows us to tailor the experience
to the specific major/study interests of the individual student. The program
will run from May 11-26 2014. These are the new dates for the program!
