    We cordially invite you to join us for a very special School of Engineering event in recognition of Discover Engineers Week (formerly National Engineers Week), “Celebration of Women in Engineering,” on Tuesday, February 18, 2014.  This day of activities is designed to bring together students, alumnae, friends, and faculty in an exploration of the role of women engineers in shaping our future.  Please join us for the entire day, or a single event.

    Keynote speaker Betty Shanahan (Hon. D.Sc. ’12 UConn) is Executive Vice President, and former Executive Director and CEO, of the national Society of Women Engineers (SWE).  Enjoy continental breakfast as Betty shares her thoughts regarding the future of engineering and the role of women.
