The Graduate School Professional Development Event:
Navigating the Academic Landscape
The University of Connecticut Ombuds representative, Jim Wohl, will discuss navigating the academic landscape: Exploring how graduate students and Post docs can augment their communication toolkit for clarifying expectations in their programs.
This interactive session will include exercises, video vignettes, and discussion. Topics will include principles of effective communication, understanding conflict styles, and preparing for difficult conversations.
Date: Wednesday, January 29th, 3:30-5 pm
Location: Storrs Campus, Whetten Graduate Center, Room 200 or UCHC Low Learning Center
Light refreshments to be provided.
Open to all graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
