Denise Beal, a University of Connecticut Department of Dining Services employee of 32 years, passed away this past Sunday after a short battle with cancer. Denise retired from Dining Services in the spring of 2012. Denise was a student here at UConn majoring in music. Later she took a job as a Maintainer and then became an Assistant Cook. Denise then worked her way through various promotions to include a Supervisor, an Assistant Manager, and later became a Manager. In 2005 she became the Assistant Director of Residential Dining. Denise spent 32 years with Dining Services.
Denise touched many lives, not only within Dining Services, but also the UConn community.
At this point no services have been scheduled, however, services will be arranged through Potters in Willimantic.
