  • Journalism Professor Mike Stanton in Boston Globe

Journalism professor Mike Stanton has been writing for The Boston Globe since classes ended, including a front-page story on the divide within the Roman Catholic Church between Pope Francis and conservative U.S. bishops like Rhode Island's Thomas Tobin over the church's focus on abortion and same-sex marriage. This week, Stanton reported on a gun-control debate that led to a divisive recall election in a small Rhode Island town on the anniversary of the Newtown shootings, and drew national attention.
