Research, Funding, and Awards

  • Krenicki Arts & Engineering Institute Awards

The School of Engineering and the School of Fine Arts are very pleased to announce the inaugural recipients of a new undergraduate scholarship program, the Krenicki Arts and Engineering Institute Scholarships. This program is made possible by the generosity of alumni John Krenicki (Mechanical Engineering) and Donna Krenicki (Graphic Design) and is an initiative of the Krenicki Arts and Engineering Institute, founded in 2019, which seeks to promote innovative collaborations between the two fields in research, teaching, and external partnerships.

Four students have been selected from almost fifty applicants to receive scholarships of $5000 each for the academic year 2020-2021:

Harrison Burr (SFA–Digital Media & Design)

    Niccolò Meniconi (SoE–Engineering Physics & SFA–Music)

    Faith Sporbert  (SoE–Computer Science & CLAS–French)

    Stephanie Treviso (SFA–Dramatic Arts)

The Krenicki Arts and Engineering Institute Scholars will meet on a regular basis as a cohort to discuss their academic and creative work, and to participate in activities centered in the Krenicki Arts and Engineering Institute, including workshops, visiting speakers, and collaborative projects.

We offer our warmest congratulations to the awardees and thank all those who submitted an application.
