  • 12/11 Live Dramatization of "A Christmas Carol" on WHUS

WHUS presents an original radio dramatization of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" on Wednesday, December 11 from 7 to 8 p.m. as part of its Reading Day Eve festivities for the UConn community, to be broadcast live on 91.7 FM and whus.org.

The dramatization is written and directed by UConn philosophy graduate student Mark Lowe, and features local actor Jim Hetrick as Scrooge.  Rounding out the cast are local residents Michele Abbazia, Anna Armagno, Miriam Drew, Ben Lawver, Ken Noll (Molecular and Cell Biology, UConn), and Nick Page.  The show will be engineered by WHUS Program Coordinator Jason McMullan and WHUS General Manager Ryan Caron King.

The show will also feature live Christmas carols by the UConn Carolers, and a fiddle performance by WHUS Music Director Trevor Morrison.  Lowe, Aramagno, Drew, McMullan, King, Steelman, and Morrison all return from last year's live production on WHUS of "War of the Worlds."
