At the University of Connecticut, care and concern for others is a hallmark of our campus community. Your health, and the health of our prospective and admitted students and their families, is of the utmost importance.
Due to COVID-19 contagion concerns, we have made the decision to cancel our spring events across all UConn campuses and throughout the country through Monday, April 6. This includes UConn Bound Day (formerly Open House for Admitted Students), our out-of-state Admitted Student Receptions, and the Husky-for-a-Day Program.
In addition, all campus tours scheduled through Monday, April 6 are also cancelled. Students may make new tour reservations at admissions.uconn.edu for tours taking place after April 6, 2020.
The decision to cancel these events was not made lightly, but the well-being of our community is the guiding principle in our actions surrounding COVID-19. We will keep you well informed should we need to extend cancellations past April 6.
Though we are disappointed that we are unable to welcome the newest members of UConn Nation in our traditional fashion, we are excited to support our newly admitted students with virtual programming that highlights the University and our vibrant campus community. Detailed information regarding these alternative visit opportunities will be made available in the coming days.
