The focus of this Talk has changed, due to current circumstances. As well as what is listed below please come with your questions and concerns related to shifting to an on line format should that become necessary.
At this session, participants will discuss topics like:
• Giving feedback in an on line format, the how, the what, and the why
• Alternatives to exams, tests, and quizzes, how to reformat an exam, test, or quiz for use
• in an on line class
• Classroom participation, homework, extra credit, the “fudge factor,” how to use class
• participation and homework effectively on line
• Formative and summative assessment
• Fairness in assessment
• Timely feedback
