Do you speak an identifiable or ‘strong’ version of accents/dialects from the following places:
- India (Hindi)
- Northern Ireland
- South Wales
- Minnesota
If so, would you be willing to make a recording of your speech for analysis in this study and (optionally) for sharing in a dialect archive? If you are interested, you can either:
1) Attend a 10 minute interview on UConn’s Storrs campus to record your voice and fill out a quick background information form (to give context to your accent)
2) Self-record and email sound file and forms in. Email jennifer.scapetis@uconn.edu for a self-record pack.
Email Assistant Professor (Drama) jennifer.scapetis@uconn.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
This study was approved by the UConn IRB, Protocol #H19-021. Approved on April 5, 2019.
