The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences presents Seminar Speaker, Dr. Daniel Rosenberg, Professor of Medicine and Health Net Inc., Endowed Chair in Cancer Biology; Investigator, Center for Molecular Oncology; Director, Colon Cancer Prevention Program, Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center.
His seminar is on February 5th, 2020, from 3:30 - 4:30 in Pharmacy/Biology Building (PBB) room 129 and is titled "A multi-omics approach to the study of early colonic neoplasia".
Dr. Rosenberg’s research has a longstanding interest in the molecular events that accompany early gastrointestinal neoplasia. His research applies powerful and exquisitely sensitive cutting-edge technologies to understand the earliest cellular changes that precede cancer, including NextGen sequencing, computational biology, analysis of the microbiome, proteomics and cell biology. His research is also actively developing mouse genetic models to recapitulate human neoplasia, with a focus on colorectal and pancreatic cancers. A major effort of his laboratory is to develop natural products that may be used to interrupt the processes of cancer initiation and progression.
