    Target Audience:  Faculty, staff, residents, and students interested in clinical research

    Learning Objectives:  Participants will be able to:  a) Describe the natural history of syphilis and how it relates to clinical manifestations; b) Explain newer diagnostic techniques for syphilis; c) Explain vaccine-based approaches for control of syphilis.

    Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    Dr. Radolf has licensing agreements through UT Southwestern Medical Center and UConn Health for the use of recombinant T. pallidum proteins for serodiagnosis of syphilis.

    The activity director peer-reviewed the content of the presentation to ensure that no commercial bias exists.

    Dr. Radolf will not be discussing the off-label use of any product.
