  • Enrolling Participants in Low Back Pain Study

    Dr. Kyounghae Kim is seeking volunteers to be part of a paid low back pain study. This research is being done at the School of Nursing at UConn Storrs/ UConn Health Center and is evaluating pain sensitivity over the episode of low back pain. Participation will include completing a questionnaire about your pain, undergoing sensory assessment, providing blood and saliva samples, and watching online modules over 12 weeks. If you are between the ages of 18-60, have had low back pain for at least 3 of the last 6 months, do not have a specific cause of back pain, you may be eligible. You will not be eligible if you have, other conditions that cause pain, neurological deficits such as weakness, are pregnant or within 3 months post-partum, had previous spinal surgery. 

    This protocol was approved by the UConn IRB, Protoco# H18-183, PI Dr. Kyounghae Kim
