Dr. Louise Reagan is seeking volunteers for a paid research study that is identifying different symptoms, skills and behaviors used to manage health, sensory function, inflammatory, metabolic and genetic markers among people with type 2 diabetes and chronic low back pain. Participation includes completing questionnaires, undergoing a sensory assessment, and providing blood and saliva samples. You may be eligible if you are 18 years or older, have had low back pain for at least 3 of the last 6 months, have type 2 diabetes with low back pain, or have type 2 diabetes and do not have a specific cause of back pain. You will not be eligible if you have other conditions that cause pain, have neurological deficits such as weakness, are pregnant or within 3 months post-partum.
