Human Resources and Benefits

  • Town Hall: Transition to PageUp

    Human Resources and our University partners in ITS are preparing to roll-out a new recruitment and onboarding system through PageUp People this semester.

    Human Resources has configured approximately 95% of the new system, and has completed User Acceptance Testing with end users from across the University. This testing provided many employees with an introduction to PageUp and an opportunity to test the system from end-to-end.

    Human Resources intends to sunset Recruiting Solutions and transition to PageUp in early December, following the Thanksgiving holiday. Beginning in late October, and through February of 2020, Human Resources will hold training and “open lab” sessions for employees on the Storrs and Regional campuses. Employees may sign up for training sessions through Learning@Work (Regular Payroll Sessions and/or Special Payroll Sessions). Regional employees will receive a direct email from HR with information on training. Open Labs will be announced at a later date, but are an open environment where users can drop in (without an appointment) to Chaplin on the Depot Campus and HR staff members will be available to assist users with completing tasks in the system.

    In addition to training sessions and open labs, Human Resources will hold two Town Hall Sessions on the Storrs campus to demo the system and answer questions:

    • Thursday, October 31, 1:30 PM in the Student Union Theater;
    • Wednesday, November 6, 11 AM in the Student Union Theater.

    We are greatly looking forward to the move to PageUp. We believe this system will improve the applicant and new employee experience and remove redundancies in our recruitment systems. For recruitment, this system will integrate with Broadbean, a centrally-supported job board aggregator that reaches more than a dozen diversity and inclusion job boards. For onboarding, PageUp includes modules to help acclimate newly-hired employees to UConn benefits and policies and procedures before attending New Employee Orientation. To further this orientation process, HR has developed several dozen onboarding videos to showcase University and state benefits, including retirement options, health insurance, and paid time off.
