  • YSEALI Social Enterprise Presentations

UConn's Global Training and Development Institute (GTDI) invites you to attend project presentations from participants in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI)!

During the month of Septermber, UConn’s GTDI has hosted 21 college student leaders from Southeast Asia at the Storrs campus to participate in a five-week program to learn about the U.S., economic development, and social entrepreneurship. The students later apply the skills learned in the program to address social/economic challenges back in their home countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippians, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. YSEALI is a U.S. State Department education/diplomatic initiative launched in 2013, https://asean.usmission.gov/yseali/ with aims to strengthen leadership development in areas of social entrepreneurship and economic development.

      * Feel free to stop by the Library's 1102 Tuesday, Oct. 1 9:00-11:45am and 1:30-3:00pm to watch the participants' social entrepreneurship project presentations (10 minutes each and you do not need to stay for all).
