This session is designed for those who recently joined (or will soon be joining) the graduate faculty. The session will cover the nuts and bolts of graduate advising (what grad advisors need to know to help their students succeed); data on student satisfaction and retention as well as student stress and anxiety and how the advisee/advisor relationship can positively impact graduate students’ success, satisfaction, and health; and ways The Graduate School can support grad advisors.
