UConn’s BOLD Women's Leadership Network focuses on facilitating opportunities for women’s leadership on campus through scholarship funding, programming, and engagement in service/leadership projects. The inaugural cohort of BOLD Scholars completed their research/service leadership projects during the Summer of 2019. Each Scholar will be disseminating the results of their projects in ways that showcase their work. Xinyu Lin will be hosting a poster session with the results of her Photo Story research project on the relationship between identity and climate activism.
Event Description:
The fight against the climate crisis demands all hands on deck. This means we need leadership and engagement that’s representative of America’s diversity. Unfortunately, we’re not there — yet.
Visit a photo story exhibit on Sept 16th from 4-6pm in Student Union 331 and learn from the stories of leaders from underrepresented identities in the environmentalism & environmental justice movement. All are welcome, no prior knowledge necessary!
Free food and stickers will be available!
