Insect Wonders at the Farm

Location: UConn Spring Valley Student Farm, 104 Spring Manor Road, Mansfield, CT
All-Ages Event | FREE and open to the public
- Join UConn Extension faculty and Spring Valley Student Farm staff and students for an interactive, "Insect Wonders at the Farm" event.
- Learn about our amazing and important insect friends by collecting and observing them.
- Activities for the whole family will include insect collecting, insect-inspired crafts, Bug-Bingo and a scavenger hunt.
- Free snacks provided courtesy of UConn Department of Dining Services
The Farm is home to 11 students who grow an amazing variety of vegetables and herbs served at Bistro on Union Street and 1 Plate 2 Plate in the Student Union and at select dining halls. The produce is for sale at the Farm Fresh Market on Fairfield Way in front of Homer Babbidge Library on Thursdays from 11:30 to 1:30 through September.

Spring Valley Student Farm is collaboration with Dining Services, Residential Life, EcoHouse as part of First Year Programs and Learning Communities, the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources, and Office of Environmental Policy.
