  • 7/7 Confratutes 42nd Year at UConn

On Sunday, July 7th, our 42nd Confratute begins. Confratute (a combination of a CONFerence and an instiTUTE with FRATernity in between) is a professional development program and summer institute held at the University of Connecticut Storrs campus. Teachers and educational leaders have been attending this conference for the last 41 years, and this year, educators and faculty will be with us from July 7-12.

This unique summer experience for educators and advocates interested in enrichment teaching and learning, talent development, and gifted education, is attended by participants from all over the United States and several countries around the world including Brazil, Canada, China, India, Italy, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and Turkey.  As classes are held all over campus, we would ask you to help guide any participants wearing Confratute badges who appear lost or give greetings to any with whom you interact. Thank you for helping us make this a special experience for our guests who we know will enjoy our beautiful Storrs campus.  Many of these participants teach academically talented students and we hope Confratute will help them to encourage their students to apply to UConn in the future.

Confratute is sponsored by the Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development and the Neag School of Education.  www.confratute.uconn.edu
