The next W (Writing-Intensive) Teaching Orientation is on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 9am-2:30pm, in the Heritage Room, Babbidge Library. Lunch will be provided. All faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate instructors, and teaching assistants are welcome.
**Graduate students teaching or assisting with a W course or lab for the first time are required to attend.** This policy is included in the General Education Guidelines approved by the University Senate in 2003.
The orientation outlines UConn’s expectations for W courses and features workshops on integrating course content with writing instruction, balancing informal and formal writing, designing effective assignments, grading, and more.
