    Dramatic Reading of "The Mountaintop"

    Monday, April 29, 2019
    6:00pm – 8:00pm

Dramatic Reading of "The Mountaintop" presented by Michael Bradford, Artistic Director of the Connecticut Repertory Theatre and Angela Hunt, MFA Acting candidate at UConn.

"The Mountaintop" is a two man play by American playwright Katori Hall. It is a fictional depiction of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.'s last night on earth set entirely in Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel on the eve of his assassination in 1968.

Among other places, the play was presented on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in September 2011 and ran through February 2013. The Broadway debut starred Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett.
