    The Department of Kinesiology and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) welcome you and your colleagues to join us for an address by Dr. David Poole, University Distinguished Professor in the Departments of Kinesiology and Anatomy and Physiology at Kansas State University. 

    Dr. Poole’s address will be: 

    “Teaching and Research Excellence: Complementary Sides of the Same Coin” 

    Dr. David Poole is a Professor in Exercise Physiology at Kansas State University where he has been since 1994. Dr. Poole has been cited over 16,000 times in peer-reviewed publications and over $5 million in extramural funding as a principal investigator. He was recently chosen for the 2018 Edward F. Adolph Distinguished Lectureship from the Environmental and Exercise Physiology section of the American Physiological Society. This award recognizes an eminent research scholar who has made meritorious contributions to the areas of environmental, exercise, thermal, or applied physiology and is an outstanding public speaker.
