Recently, the University signed a contract with the CareerBuilder company Broadbean. Through this partnership, the University will continue to post employment opportunities centrally to HERC (Higher Education Recruitment Consortium), Inside Higher Ed, Recruit Military, and Diverse Jobs. In addition, Broadbean will post University’s job openings to 14 general job boards and 18 disability, veteran, and diversity job boards (see entire list below).
The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) requires federal contractors, including UConn, to recruit high-quality candidates, rather than just a high number of applicants, and to post all jobs to state workforce systems. Broadbean helps us meet this compliance standard by posting all job posting to CTHires, Connecticut’s Department of Labor job board, and by distributing job postings to high-quality diversity, veteran, and disability job boards.
The University’s relationship with Broadbean will expand the reach of our advertising and our candidate pools, and we are excited about this initiative. Even with this expansion of job boards, the University requires the continuation and expansion of recruitment efforts by hiring departments and search committees.
