    Accommodations Using Technology in Teaching

    03/13/2019 11:00am - 12:00pm

Library Collaborative Learning Classroom HBL 2-153

This workshop will discuss student accommodations instructors commonly encounter in their teaching and how to use technology to meet student needs. A significant percentage of students at UConn are registered with the Center for Students with Disabilities. That means there is a good chance you may need to address an accommodation in your course and take appropriate steps. This workshop will address Blackboard Ally (HuskyCT’s built-in accessibility checker), closed captioning, working with PDFs and documents, and making assessments accessible.

The workshop will be presented by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), the Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) and Information Technology Services (ITS).
