    Spanish Food Culture: Mediterranean Diet & the Agrifood Industry

    Zaragoza, Spain

    This program is designed for undergraduates with an interest in learning Spanish and studying the Mediterranean diet industry and food culture. There will be food and industry related tours and case studies that focus on the social and cultural factors that have shaped the Spanish agrifood system and food consumption practices and patterns in Spain.  In addition to earning academic credit, the program includes a 4-week full-time internship where students gain international work experience in the wine, fruit and vegetable, seafood, meat, and olive oil sectors.
