"Writing Modern Haiku & Senryu: Workshop & Reading" will take place Wednesday, Feb. 14, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Stern Lounge, Room 217, in the Austin/CLAS Building on the Storrs Campus. Poet and Publisher Stanford M. Forrester, past President of the American Haiku Society, will discuss the evolution of the Japanese poetry forms, lead a writing workshop, give a short reading and then host a voluntary open mic. Refreshments will be provided at this FREE event! It is sponsored by the English Department Speaker Fund and the Creative Writing Program.
