Gina DeVivo Brassaw, MSW, has worked in Community Outreach at UConn since 2005, first in the role of Program Coordinator, and since 2015, as Associate Director of Community Outreach Programs, Services, and Initiatives in the Department of Student Activities.
She has been involved in many aspects of campus engagement work, including the Community Engagement Committee and the President's Commission on Corporate Social Responsibility, and has tirelessly promoted dialogue and democratic engagment. She worked with the Community Service Learning Community, and led the effort to transform it into the Human Rights and Action Learning Community. She will be remembered as a valuable colleague and community partner, and as a supportive leader and advisor to students.
Gina will be starting a new position at the UConn School of Social Work. Her last day on the Storrs Campus is January 31, 2019. Student Activities and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life wish her well in her new position.
