  • Enrolling Participants in Language Research Study

    We are recruiting individuals to participate in a research study looking at how the brain understands the meaning of words.

    Participants must meet the following criteria to take part:

    • Speak English as a first language
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Right handed
    • Normal or corrected-to-normal vision
    • Normal reading abilities and motor skills
    • No history of neurological impairment
    • Safe for MRI scanning, including but not limited to: no ferromagnetic material in the body and no pregnancy

    Participants will receive $10 per hour for participation in tasks done outside the scanner, and $30 per hour for time in the scanner (approximately $35 total). If interested, please contact Charles Davis (charles.davis@uconn.edu). We can also offer you pictures of your brain.

    This research is conducted under the direction of Dr. Eiling Yee, Department of Psychological Sciences.

    This study was approved by the UConn IRB, Protocol H17-348.
