UConn's Department of Music welcomes Frederic Rzewski for a three-day residency as the great composer, pianist, and improviser celebrates his 80th birthday.
The residency will culminate with Mr. Rzewski's piano recital on Saturday, November 3rd which includes a world premiere of Saints and Sinners, written in December of 2016 for Canadian pianist Milton Schlosser. The work is dedicated to Fidel Castro and the composer Pauline Oliveros, who died at roughly around the same time (November 24 and 25 of 2016).
