Funded by a small grant from our parent organization (NCFR), the Council on Family Relations, UConn (UCCFR) is hosting an International Family Day event where families of all kinds can come together and learn about different cultures around the world. The event will be held at Mansfield Public Library from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Our volunteers will be sharing a piece of their culture that is meaningful to them, in the form of educational, fun activities for children in the 5-10 age range. As children enter the event, they will be given a "passport" and will go station-to-station learning about cultures around the world through arts and crafts, music, food, story-telling, and other activities. The event is free, but there may be a charge for some of the food items. Bring the children in your life and help us celebrate the diverse nature of the word "family!"
