It’s time to celebrate! The Mansfield Downtown Partnership will host its 15th Annual Celebrate Mansfield Festival on Sunday, September 16 from noon to 4:00 PM in Downtown Storrs. This event is free and open to the public.
Enjoy hands-on activities at 100 booths hosted by Mansfield businesses and community organizations and UConn departments, programs, and student clubs! There will be cooking demonstrations by award-winning chefs from UConn Dining Services, demos on floral arrangements, a climbing wall, inflatables, and a children’s stage. The fun kicks off at noon with the Celebrate Mansfield Parade – featuring the UConn Marching Band! – on Storrs Road/Route 195 (please see our website for information on road closures). And, don’t miss this year’s headliner, Sinkane! Sinkane brings their slinky funk, soul grooves, and sparkling melodies with roots in sub-Saharan Africa to Betsy Paterson Square at 2:30 PM.
