"What's the Alternative? The Art and Outrage of the 1960's Underground Press" is drawn from the Alternative Press Collection at the UConn Archives & Special Collections.  This exhibition surveys the efforts of cartoonists, illustrators, photographers and painters to warn against public impassivity in the face of political oppression, war, systemic racism and censorship of free speech during the mid-20th century.  The exhibition is guest curated by cartoonist Dwayne Booth (aka Mr. Fish).

Listen to Uncle John's Clan play the music of the 1960's. Remarks at 5:15 pm. Artist John O’Donnell will do a short performance about his Rad Dude card sculpture.
