Research, Funding, and Awards

  • Apply for an AIMS Award

The Office of the Vice President for Research would like to share this opportunity with the research community.  The goal of the Artificial Intelligence Molecular Screen (AIMS) program is to increase the number of scientists pursuing drug discovery.  Atomwise, based in San Francisco, awards researchers with a customized virtual screen using cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, free chemical compounds for physical screening, and technical support from medicinal chemists and computational biologists.

    AIMS awardees receive:

    • Customized small molecule virtual screen using AtomNet™ technology
    • 72 small molecules predicted to bind to a specific target protein
    • QC verification by mass spectrophotometry
    • Resuspended and diluted to a convenient concentration, aliquoted into microtiter plates, and delivered at no cost to the researcher
    • Support from Atomwise medicinal chemists and computational biologists
    • Additional small molecules and support if criteria are met

The application deadline is September 7, 2018 and is available online at http://www.atomwise.com/aims/
