  • SAG Award and Hybrid Transfer Eligible Employees

     

    Notice for SAG Award and Hybrid-only transfer eligible employees:

    The Department of Human Resources (HR) is assisting the Office of the State Comptroller with the implementation of the SEBAC ARP Grievance Award (the “SAG Award”). The SAG Award provides employees in ARP (Alternate Retirement Program) who were participating in ARP on 9/22/2010 with the opportunity to change to the SERS Tier II or Tier IIA plan (based on hire date).  The window for making this election is 9/14/2018 through 12/14/2018. 

    HR is also communicating with employees in ARP who are eligible to change only to the Hybrid Plan under the SEBAC 2011 agreement.  To qualify, an employee must be a current ARP participant who participated in ARP at some point between 1/1/09 and 06/30/12, but not on 9/22/10. The deadline for changing to the Hybrid Plan is 12/14/2018.

    HR has been communicating with eligible employees via their work email to make them aware of educational sessions and online estimators, and to provide personalized service audits and gross earnings estimates to be used with the online estimators.  If you believe that you are an eligible employee and have not received email notifications, please contact HR at hr@uconn.edu. HR will continue to communicate important information as it becomes available through the work email addresses on file for our lists of eligible employees.
